Deutsch have handled thousands of cases across Texas and the country, including in the areas of real estate, commercial litigation, environmental liability, and products liability.  Mr. Crump has tried cases to judges, juries, and arbitration panels across Texas and has briefed and argued appeals to several state courts of appeals as well as to the Texas Supreme Court.  Mr. Deutsch has represented clients in high-stakes litigation in state and federal courts throughout Texas and the nation and has argued appeals in both Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Randy's transactional and commercial litigation practice emphasizes eminent domain, tax valuation and business disputes.  He has tried cases to judges and juries in county, state and federal courts, and he has conducted arbitrations before AAA and NASD panels. Randy’s litigation practice includes representing landowners and real estate development and holding companies in eminent domain and property tax valuation litigation in addition to defending product manufacturers, energy companies and engineering and construction companies. His transactional practice includes drafting and negotiating real estate documents, including sales and financing documents related to Texas real property.  Other transactional experience includes drafting and negotiating general commercial agreements, including oilfield service agreements and contracts for purchase and sale of goods and services. He has received a rating from Martindale-Hubbell that indicates he has reached the height of professional excellence and has been recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity. Prior to forming Crump & Deutsch, PLLC, Randy practiced for a Houston real estate boutique for 13 years and for 17 years with a national litigation firm.

Randy is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas and Houston Bar Association. While in law school, Randy was executive editor of the Houston Law Review, a member of the Order of Barons and an Honor Court Justice. He is a board member of the Houston Law Review Alumni Association and served as the organization's president.

Randy is a regular speaker at continuing legal education events on various topics, including real property taxation and eminent domain.

Nick’s client-driven, results-focused approach has allowed him to successfully represent clients of all sizes, from individuals and start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.  He has more than a decade of experience in a wide range of practice areas including complex commercial litigation, eminent domain, and product liability litigation.  His clients come from an array of industries, including Real Estate, Oil & Gas, and Medical Devices.  Nick is licensed in all state and federal courts in Texas as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and he has practiced in courts throughout the nation.  Prior to opening Crump & Deutsch, PLLC, Nick was a Partner at Shook, Hardy, & Bacon, L.L.P.  

Nick received his J.D., with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law, where he was Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review and Justice (President) of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.  He also holds a B.A., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa as well as several other honor societies.

In addition to practicing law, Nick is a real estate investor and developer, giving him a unique business perspective on legal matters.  Nick also enjoys classic cars and spending time with his wife, Jen, and their three children.
